Anni Ellinoora Leikas, (born 26 January 1994 in Oulu), also known as Ellinoora, is a Finnish singer. Her debut album, Villi lapsi, was released in September 2016.

Career Edit

2011-14: Record deal and debut single Edit

In 2011, Ellinoora received a recording contract with Warner Music Finland. Around the same time, she was going to participate in The Voice of Finland however her participation was cancelled due to the record deal.

In the autumn of 2013, Ellinoora began studying at the Helsinki Pop and Jazz Conservatory. In addition, in August, her first song, "Sellainen mies”, was released. However, due to a dispute with the record label, the track has been deleted and is no longer available.

2015: Debut album Edit

It was announced in 2014 that Ellinoora was working with Väinö Wallenius and Samuli Sirviö on a debut album. Their first co-operation, "Ei hävittävää (AEIOUAO)", was released as a single on 27 February 2015. The majority of the songs on the album were written by Ellinoora and Sirviö, such as "Elefantin Paino", "Minä elän" and "Carrie".

The debut album, Villi lapsi, was released on 16 September 2016, certifying gold. The single "Carrie" certified gold, and "Leijonakuningas" platinum.

2017: The Origin Song Contest Edit

Ellinoora participated in the Finnish music competition Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 01 with the song "Elefantin Paino" where she competed to represent Finland at the first edition of The Origin Song Contest in Kraków, Poland. Ellinoora won the selection by a margin of three points, therefore representing Finland.

Prior to the contest, Ellinoora was the favourite to win, which turned out to be correct, as she placed first at the contest with 130 points, and first in the semi final with 114 points also.
